ANSWER: Pat, check black suppression relays and ignition power stage. May also be engine speed sensor.  No pulse=no pump.  Roger

QUESTION: Roger, Thanks! however; did so more checks, 91, 240 only has one black suppression relay under hood, it's for Aux fan> opened it up found bad solder, fixed and fan works find. I replaced the in tank pump and the engine started (probaly coinsident). The # 4 fuse gets power when the engine spins, the engine seem to run find, a little hessitation, tested up to 75 MPH got back home and though I had a little miss in engine, after engine got hot it shut down.  Tried to start the engine it seem to almost vapor lock and Would not start.  Thoughts

ANSWER: Pat, some had both, thats why I said that.  Did you check other basics like timing, etc, just to make sure nothing else is out of whack?  Since it wont start hot, Im going to say replace the ECT sensor.  I have seen that happen before on a hot engine.  Roger

QUESTION: Roger, Thanks again, but still no luck, replaced the ECT Sensor, let engine run in garage about 45 Min. touch peddle and chokes out, did restart but took a few tries, engine sounds like starving for fuel, I can here both pump running, checked car diagnostic codes:
131-Engine RPM Signal Missing.
232-Fuel system compensating for rich or lean mixture at idle.
311-Vehicle speed signal missing
214-Speed sender signal missing or sender faulty

Answer
Pat, Now we are getting somewhere.  Replace the Speed sensor.  Its on top of the bell housing.  That should fix it.  Its about 40 bucks.  if you look at it and its all chaffed, then its definately the issue.  Did you check the fuel pressure regulator and airmass meter? Roger
