Volvo Repair: 1993 Volvo 940 front bumper, word explosion, 1993 volvo 940

Someone hit my 1993 Volvo 940 in a parking lot. It caused the bumper mount to extend from the frame on the driver's side. How do you get it to go back in. The item I am speaking of is the part that the metal part of the bumper attaches to. It is black and square and the end goes into the front frame. I can loosen to bolts that hold it to the front and I can get it to move up and down but I cannot get it to come out of the frame nor can I get it to go back into the frame. It was pulled out about three inches. It also has a sticker that was damaged but I could make out the word explosion.

David, Unfortunately its almost impossible to push that back in.  Its under high pressure.  There is another small 10 mm nut that is holding that shock in.  remove that and the shock will come out.  Either biu a new shock or get one from the salvage yard.  Roger
