Volvo Repair: transmission failure 2001 s80 T6, transmission fluid change, transmission failure

have you heard of losing 3rd gear and the transmision becoming a mess with a total meltdown? This happened after a transmission fluid change at 163,000 miles.  Also lost the catalytic converter.  We are talking $7500 in repairs.  Is volvo admitting problems?  What do I do.

Karen, ALl the time.  These cars are nothing but headaches.  Do not put that kind of money into that car.  Its not even worth that. Volvo will never admit problems like that especially in a car that has 163000 miles.  Consider yourself lucky.  Those cars were dropping transmissions with low milage under warranty.  Do yourself a favor and use it as a trade in on something else.  Roger
