Volvo Repair: Changing transmition fluid, volvo dealers, volvo s70

Question
I have a 1998 Volvo S70 with 65000 miles. The transmittion fluid is brown. Spoke to 4 Volvo dealers..one said DO NOT change the fluid, 3 said it was OK to change and flush. Called Volvo and they said DO NOT change the fluid even if it is brown. Change it only if you are having a problem shifting. My transmittion is work fine now. Who is correct? What is your expert advice?
Thank you

Answer
Saul, if the car fluid was being changed every 20,000 miles like it used to be, then there is no problem.  Since its brown and has that many miles, I agree with the 1 dealer.  Put it this way, I did this on a higher milage car, and 20 miles later the transmission dumped.  Personally, I would leave it alone.  Roger
