Volvo Repair: 94 Volvo 850 wagon runs rough, volvo 850 wagon, volvo wagon

Hi there, first of all I want to say thank you for helping us Volvo people. You helped me a while back and now I would need your help again. I'm driving an 94 850 Volvo wagon and about 4 weeks ago I had to stop on a stop sign and it died  out of the blue. It cranked right up  but it was running real rough. The steering wheel was shaking real bad when I had the car in drive, but it quit doing it when I put it in park.I turned it of and cranked it again, no problems at all.When it does what it does, it starts skipping, loses power  , runs rough and dies down or it straighten it self out again.. It will not do it all the time. Sometimes I can drive it for days without a problem, other times you drive it out of the gate , put it in park and it dies, but it always cranks right up.Also once in a while, special when I have parked it out in the sun and I try to crank it, it cranks and  dies and you will not be able to crank it again for a day or two. When it cranks again it runs great, also sometimes the sunroof will not open, like no power gone to it or the back window will not open  or will not close. But like I said only sometimes.But my main problem is that it runs rough or(and dies)The last time it happened Monday and  my Husband was driving it and he said that the Volvo acts like it losing all the power. Please help.

Delores, I would start by replacing the Spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and the wires.  If they havent been done or its been a while since they have been done, its time to replace them.  Use Bosch Parts and Bougicord ignition wires.  Anything else is just pure garbage.  Let me know how it works out.
