Volvo Repair: 2001 Volvo S 80 T-6, volvo s 80, volvo dealer

I stopped going to my Volvo dealer for oil changes (55 miles away) and doing it locally. The SERVICE light is on and off at times, mostly on.  Is there any way I can turn this off without going to my Volvo dealer

Robert, the 01 is a little tricky but try it.  Turn key to pos 1 while holding down the odometer reset button.  wait for service light to flash and release the button.  Sometime that works other times you have to wait for the airbag light to turn off then release and repress the button.  Try it and let me know.  Roger
