Volvo Repair: 1993 Volvo 240--brake light, emery cloth, 1993 volvo 240

I have been having continual problems with my brake/taillight not working. I first replaced the bulb, then the socket and then finally a new tail light assembly thinking I had a bad circuit board. Now I have a taillight that comes on, but still no brake light. The other side works fine. Any ideas.

Tom, Normally after all that, its the connector.  You can clean it with emery cloth and then squeeze the connector with a pliers.  You should get a good connection now.  Check the fuse also.  Do you have the white socket on the right side and the black one on the left?  Roger
