Volvo Repair: Brake warning light, brake warning light, volvo 244

Question
Hello, I have a 1987 Volvo 244 manual Volvo. The previous owner recently got the brakes fixed up and they are currently still working great. The only problem is when I purchased it from the previous owner he said that ever since the brakes were fixed up a brake failure warning light on the dash is constantly on, and still is, but there is no problem with the brakes. He doesn't know why and neither do I. I was hoping you might have some idea why this light stays on. Thanks!

Answer
Jessica, Its a common thing on the 240.  There is a switch on the brake junction block that goes bad but dont ever try to replace just the switch.  It will never seal and it will leak.  What I normally do and when the brake system is performing as it should, I just disconnect The wire on that switch.  Roger
