Question
we just changed the alternator and also got a new battery but the car doesn't seem to want to charge.  we need to know what to do since the car is needed.

Answer
Karen, Most likely the red wire that connects to the back of the alternator is the culprit.  I would run a new wire from the harness block down to the alternator and then check the charging voltage.  With a new alternator and battery it should be at 13.7-14.0 volts.  Roger
