Volvo Repair: Volvo S60 Transmission Light, volvo s60, transmission service

Hello,

I purchased my volvo with the intent of it lasting through college and grad school . However Im not so
sure now, I have spent thousands in repairs and today
my transmission service reqired light came on. What gives? Is it possible that I just need transmission fluid or a full replacement? Thank you.

Christine, I just had one of those this week.  The S60 is temperatmental.  The best thing to do is have you Volvo Shop scan it and see whats going on.  Sometimes a fluid change may do the trick but experience has shown me over the years that When that light comes on, its usually some kind of bad news but lets be optimistic and say its not a transmission.  Start with the scan and go from there.  Roger
