Volvo Repair: sunroof repair, volvo vadis, volvo s60

how do you get the overhead light panel off of a Volvo s60 2001 in order to look at the sunroof switch.  Sunroof is only opening part way then shutting on its own.  on top of that it will some times when I go to close it opens back up by itself

Chuck, you have some issues there.  There is nothing you can do with that switch.  Believe it or not that sunroof function is part of the alarm system and it sounds like it may be causing the problem.  I suggest taking it to a Reputable Volvo Shop that cna diagnose the issue.  Its all computer controlled stuff so car has to be put on The Volvo VADIS computer.  The s60 has 2 different assemblies.  Does your light covers come off or is it all one unit?  Roger
