Volvo Repair: Volvo 940 back axle differential lock, limited slip differential, differential lock

Dear Roger

I am looking for an differential lock to fit my Volvo, 940 SE Turbo A, First registration 1995 to increase traction as a got stuck with this car few times now. I am thinking of a kind an Air locker Differential which would engage the lock when needed. I would also like to know which kind of back axle used in that model (? Dana. Please let me know whether you could help in this matter it would be much appreciated.

Sebastian, Best thing to do is find a limited slip differential and swap it out. Not sure who made that at the time.  There is probably a kit you can get from the dealer but it will probably be more expensive than a used diff at a salvage yard.  Roger
