Volvo Repair: my drive shaft replacement process, volvo 240 dl, shaft replacement

Yes i have another problem with fixing my spring in the drvie shaft. Where is the drive shaft located on the motor? If you have a picture or could tell me that would really help. My car is a 1989 Volvo 240 DL 2.3 liters.

Bruce, if you dont know that then you shouldnt be working on this car.  I dont have pictures just advice.  The drive shaft is that long thing that goes from the transmission to the rear axle.  The spring and carrier are in the middle being held up by a support brackett.  Roger
