Volvo Repair: 2003 S60 (Not Turbo), seatbelt light, volvo dealer

Question
Roger,
Recently my "check engine" light came on.  My "time for service" light has been coming on for about a month.  However, I keep up with all the required maintenance so fluids, hoses, etc., are not the problem.  I had a 1994 960 for 10 years and i knew where the reset buttion was.  However, on this model I do not know wher it is.  Can you tell me?  I do not want to go to the local Volvo dealer to get ripped off for 5 minutes of labor.

Thanks

Answer
Dan, the service due I can help you but check engine needs to be scanned by a Volvo Shop or dealer.  Turn key on pos 1.  Hold odometer reset button.  Turn key to pos 2.  Im going to tell you 2 ways and one of them should work.  2004 is tricky. Hold odo button until you see seatbelt light go off and do a quick release and rehold button.  The number 45 should come up and beep.  It should be reset.  The other way is to just hold the button until the thing beeps.  Roger
