Volvo Repair: stalling, fuel pressure regulator, vacuum line

Question
1900 740 gle 16 valve. Had trouble in summer with very hot
engine restarts. Had to cool 30 40 minutes. Changed a couple of components. Don't have notes here( last year). Don't know if solved yet. Some cold rough idle stalling issues also.
Cleaned choke etc with engine off. However I removed air intake from air filter to carb to spray and move linkage etc during running and car stalls immediately upon removal. Starts if back on.

Any thoughts on any and all.

Answer
Remove and clean throttle body. Make sure throttleswitch is adjusted properly, it should make a clicking sound just off idle. Also check fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump check valve.Remove vacuum line from fuel pressure regulator and see if gas is leaking from the vacuum port. You will need to install fuel gauges to check the check valve.
