Volvo Repair: see below, transmission control module, volvo service

Question
  2000 V70 CROSS COUNTRY TURBO
Question     My daughter was driving this car when we think it went into crawl home
mode. I had it towed to a volvo dealer.  Volvo did the recall and told us it was
fixed.  However, the car did the same thing again, not able to drive it more
than a few miles an hour,  with a lot of noise and vibration, and had to be
brought right back.  Now volvo has had the car since June 21 and they are
saying that they are not able to diagnosed the problem because it does not
happen for a long enough time.  Today they told me to pick up the car (even
though they originally  said it could be dangerous to drive) and drive it until it
totally breaks. Milage is about 125,000.  Help!
Answer     Are any lights on the dash illuminating? Are any fault codes being recovered? Does the problem stop after shutting off the car and restarting?

I am not sure what is on the dash. Volvo says that they have not be able to get any fault codes.  If you turn off the car and start up again it will appear O.K. for a while.  It seems to happen the most when going up hill.  Volvo only was able to get it to happen once in 40 miles.

Answer
Karen, once is enough.  What those bozos should do is if they cant fix it, then they need to get the Volvo Service rep involved.  You may be able to call and get assistance from them.  This a dangerous situation.  To me it sounds like a faulty transmission control module.  Roger
