Volvo Repair: Volvo S80 turn signal lever, volvo s80, washer fluid

Question
All the functions related to the turn signal lever on this 99 S80 have stopped working.  It happened once before, but after shaking and touching a few things (I have no idea what happened!), it worked again.  But it doesn't now.

The washer fluid function on the other lever doesn't work either, but I don't think these are related.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ed, its a stupid module that needs to be reset.  You can try to remove the steering wheel covers and acess the green module around the turn signal lever.  There may be 2 that look the same.  you can unplug both and let it sit a few minutes then replug it in.  Should work now.  IF it does happen again in the future, then the module needs to be replaced.  Roger
