Volvo Repair: 2005 XC90 brakes & Rotors, pam pam, volvo dealer

Question
One month and 6 days ago i had the rotors & pads replaced on my car.  A few days afterwards I called the Service tech to ask why I was hearing squealing noises coming from the front of the car.  She said to give it a few days 7 it should go away.  It did but only for a week or so.  I finally took the car back in last week to have it checked out 7 got a call to tell me that the service manager & mechanic had decided that the noise was from "hot spots" that I had caused due to "hard braking" & therefore was not covered under warranty. I'm curious how after driving the car for 2 years without this problem that I can all of a sudden be blamed for "hot Spots."  I drive the same as  I always have, which I don't consider "hard braking" to be included in that.  could there be any other possible cause that I can possibly attribute to this?  After spending almost $600.00 to have all the brake work done, I don't want to pay it again.

Thanks!

Pam

Answer
Pam, Its called feeding you a line of crap thats what it is.  Did you take the car to the Volvo Dealer?  That vehicle is covered bumper to bumper to 36000 miles if IM not mistaken.  Squeeling is caused by a junk pad or failure to put brake paste on the back of the pad.   I wouldnt pay again.  That is part failure and they should cover it.  Please let me know if it was a dealer and we can go further.  Roger
