Volvo Repair: 1991 SE volvo turbo, fotune, spece

Th volvo will start and can drive it maybe 1/2 to 1 mile and it shuts down. It acts like it just shuts itself off while driving. We have changed the ignition module as someone told us that could be it.  It acts the same.  coil has charge as well as the plugs.  Wondering if there is somthing in fuel line area.  Have owned it 2 weeks now and the first week ran like a dream.  help as i do not want to spend a fotune on parts.  Is there a way to check the fuel pressure?  We have someone who can but we do not know the spece for the fuel pressute on the vehicle.

Brenda, fuel pressure is checked at the fuel rail.  There is a special tool that we use.  When the car shuts down, does it restart right away?  This is another one of those that I would need to perform a few tests on.  In the meantime, perhaps find a good Volvo shop that can help you instead of just putting parts on and see if that fixes it.  Roger
