Volvo Repair: 93 940 stall out, intake air temp, coolant temp

Question
Simply put, the engine stalls out driving down the road, loses throttle, then re-fires, but doesn't lose dash lights etc.  The only two trouble codes are for the IAC, and Intake Air Temp Sensor.  I have 12.2V to the IAC connector, and 4.2 ohms through the IAC. CHILTON'S shows a 3 pin connector at IAC with approx 10-11 ohms; mine is a 2 pin.  So, is the IAC the culprit?  Somewhere I had read online a faulty Intake Air Temp Sensor could cause stall out;  hmmmmm, not so sure about that one.  Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks   Chuck

Answer
Chuck, could be the engine speed sensor also.  Never heard of an intake air temp sensor.  Thats what I hate about these other scanners out there. Everyone has a different name for everything.  Chiltons is toilet paper.  Best to find a factory wiring diagram.  What is the translation of an intake air temp sensor?  Sounds like a coolant temp sensor to me but that causes overfueling.  Roger
