Volvo Repair: 1999 Volvo S80 T-6, volvo s80, 1999 volvo s80

Question
Hello Roger.  I just bought a 1999 S80 T-6 and have had to put an oxygen sensor, wheel speed sensor and pedal position sensor on the car.  I took it to Volvo for the update on the throttle body.  I have 2 questions actually.  Whne the pedal position sensor went bad the check engine light and the engine system service required light came on along with the engine service service urgent light.  I replaced the sensor and erased the codes but the engine system service required light keeps coming on.  What is that and can i reset that without taking to Volvo?  My second question is that i keep getting a code of P0448 EVAP leak Large come on after every fillup.  I have changed the gas cap and it still comes on.  I have been told that it may be the secondary air pump or a defective EVAP canister shut off valve.  I have gooten a lot of helpful info already from your other questions.  Can you help me with these two questions?  Thanks, Ricky

Answer
Ricky, I wish you would have asked me before you bought that thing.  Those cars are nothing but headaches.  Reset the service light by doing this.  Put the key is pos 1, hold odometer button, turn key to full pos without starting the car.  Now wait for service light to flash and its reset.  Check all vacuum lines and look at the ones over by the fuel filter.  I have seen them split there also.  Roger
