Volvo Repair: Locked 2002 Volvo xc70, volvo xc70, remote keyless entry

Good morning.  My alarm is going off and my keyless remote doesn't unlock or disarm the car.  I've called a tow truck but how do I unlock the car when the remote keyless entry is not working.  It seems my key doesn't unlock it either.  Help.

Nancy, Thats interesting.  Did you try both doors?  Your drivers door lock solonoid may be having a problem preventing you to use your key.  HAve the repair addressed by a Volvo shop or dealer.  You dont want Joes garage to mess with those door actuators.  Tricky beasts to work with.  Roger
