Volvo Repair: XC70 balb replacement, rear position, happy thanksgiving

Hi,
My Volvo 2001 XC70 right rear 'position light' bulb has burnt out. This is the
one which is 'the third from the top'. The owner's manual instructions suggest
that it can be accessed from the cargo area. However, this is the only one of
all the rear lights which is impossible to reach because it is too low to access
from the upper side and too high to access from the lower side. Should I take
off the lense? If yes, then how?

Alex, to put it mildly, these suck.  I can reach them but its difficult.  You can take the assemblies out but you have to be careful not to drop the nuts.  Should be 2 or 3 10 mm nuts holding those in.  Get a flashlight and see if you want to mess with this.  Roger
