Volvo Repair: 1984 240 DL, latch assembly, happy thanksgiving

We have lost the only key to the trunk of our 1984 dl Volvo.  As you know, I'm sure, there is a way to access the trunk through the back seat.  Do you have any sneaky ideas about how one might access the lock and thereby open the trunk?  Third time I've come to this site and asked you questions - you've never let me down yet but this one looks like a doozy. Any advice would be welcomed.  Thanks - and Happy Thanksgiving!

Suzanne, if you have a long arm and screwdriver, you can do it through the hole in the back seat arm rest.  Put armrest down lift flap and push black cardboard up.  You may be able to remove the latch assembly or get lucky enough to pop it open.  Last resort would be the dealer.  Give them the vin number and they will order the key.
