Volvo Repair: s80 99 abs problem, yokohama avid h4s, fuel vapors

Question
hello
1. My check engine and ABS/STC lights are on so i went to 2 different dealers
cause i dont have any kind of warranty and wanted to have at list 2 opinions
before spending that kind of money. I was told  that i have to change abs
control module, rotors, brake pads and "evap?" hose(check engine) to fix it
($2200). But the other mechanic sad that i  got a bad RPM speed sensor in the
transmission and that causes both lights to come on($180).
2.My car was always bumpy on a road ever since i god it (last september) but
i recently  changed bushings on control arm, strut mounts and went to make
an alignment where was told that my inner and outer are "frozen" so they
heated it up and fixed it . but the problem didn't go away its even worse now
so im warred if tires (225/45/17 Yokohama Avid H4s) worn out cause i was
driving without alignment (about 200 miles) and i need a new softer tires (any
advise on that?) or its just all volvos very bumpy or i got problems with rack
and pinion as some of them're saying
3. After all this diagnostics my SRS light came on  but never had any
problems with airbags.
as you see i got quit a few problems with this car and will appreciate any
help. Thanks a lot

Answer
you have more than one problem for abs yes maybe you have bad abs module that what controls your abs ,other problems you have is you need brake pads and rotors nothing to do with abs they maybe just worn out and have to be replaced .i don't thing you have bad rpm sensor they don't go so much bad don't go with rpm sensor .with check engine light if you have foult code for evap system The emission control system that prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine or you just have loose gas cap  but Volvo dealer can run the test and tell you for sure
also with  car bumpy  the s80 are not so bad with suspension maybe you have bad shocks or something else cant tell from here   tires can make the car feel hard or soft   you can use original Volvo tires Michelin  or try Toyo tires they very nice after you replace tires  do alignment  if you have problems with the power staring rack  for some reason   than don't replace the tie rod ends the new reck will come with all new tie rod ends   if you do the rack
with srs you have to see what fault code you have before i can help you on that   my best advice go to Volvo dealer only for repairs  and use original parts only if you are from Chicago area i can help you  or if you know somebody in Chicago with Volvo give him my e-mail volvochiago@yahoo.com  i can help them
