Volvo Repair: leaky radiator, radiator fan, radator

Question
hi! my volvo is a S70 1999 and it has a leaky radiator. i discovered this just yesterday and would like to know how to replace it without having to have professional help!

also my coolant light is frequently coming on....could that have anything to do with the above problem!

thanks so much for your help!

Answer
The coolant light somes on any time the coolant goes low in the resevoir.  Drain the coolant and remove the radiator hoses.  The radiator is held in by only a few bolts.  Take off the radiator fan (couple bolts on top, slides in at the bottom).  Then through the grill area undo the 2 10mm bolts holding the radiator/condensor/intercooler together.  Removethe cover on the bottom of the radiator.  There are 2 bolts under neath the car near the bottom too.  Then there are 2 big bolts on the bottom, half way up the radiator that bolt the radator to the frame upwards.  Remove those 2 bolts and the radiator will come down out the bottom.  You need to get the car as high as you can because you need lots of space to get the radiator out the bottom.
