Volvo Repair: Sunroof, volvo 850, good shape

I just recently bought a 1994 Volvo 850 Turbo Sedan. It's in pretty good shape considering the couple owners, etc. the guy I bought the car from told me the sunroof didnt work. I tried it like, a month ago and it works, but it 'chooses' to work. It's been open for three days and wont close. But i dont want to go to a shop unless I absolutely have to. Is there some way I can get it to close? Thanks.
P.S. I dont know too much of the technical stuff about cars.

Lizzie, well not really and I dont want to tell you to take stuff off if you are not technically inclined.  Whats most likely the problem is the switch.  Its a common failure on the older 850's.  Have a volvo shop repair that for you.  Should not be too expensive.  $100 bucks tops.  Roger
