Volvo Repair: A/C, default position, air distribution

Question
I have a 1991 940se and every time the turbo kick in the air stop blowing. And on really hot days the air is not cooling well.

Thank you

Answer
Normally I don't deal with cars this old but I do know what the problem in this case.  The vacuum bellows that control the doors for air distribution have failed.  The check valve specifically is no longer functioning.  Now any time you go full acceleration and lose vacuum, the doors fall to their default position which is not where you have them set.  You have to remove the dashboard to access the climate unit and replace the bellows on the outside of the case.  There are 3 of them.  Best to do them all at the same time.  We charge 11 hours of labor for that job and the bellows are $73 a piece.
