Volvo Repair: Reply to existing Volvo brake question, volvo brand, speedy answer

Hi Roger:  Thanks for the speedy answer! To further clarify,  the shop in question IS an authorized Volvo shop. They only use authentic Volvo parts.   I have asked my husband, Jeff, what make the parts were and he said he threw all the packaging away but will call the store he bought them from and ask.  Jeff says they definitely are not titanium.  Jeff says he will also call the shop and ask for clarification of what they told me in case I mis-translated something and see what they say.

Thanks again for the help.  I think it's just wonderful that there are regular people (you) who will just help other regular people (me) because it is the right thing to do. Auto tips AND restoring faith in humanity! Fantastic!  I'll write agin when I find out the make of the parts and let you know what the mechanic tells Jeff.  Sincerely, Joyce Garrett

Joyce, I've been doing this for a long time and I have never heard such a thing.  If that shop can produce a Volvo Technical bulletin that says that, then I would like to see it.  We also use genuine parts but Volvo brand rotors are garbage.   Thats why we experiment with different brands.  I have seen it all.  Let me know what you find out.  Thanks for the kind words.  Roger
