Volvo Repair: ABS LIGHTS ON DASH BOARD, vovlo s80, abs light

VOVLO S80 SE 2.9 MANUAL 1999

Hi Roger,
I have put a deposit on a used volvo and signed the paperwork but when test driving it the abs brake warning lights did not go out on the dash board, after questioning this the sales executive told me that it just needed the light put out ?
can you give me your expert advice on this ?

Derek, take your deposit back and buy something else.  STAY AWAY from the 99 S80.  Nothing but a headache and a piece of junk.  The ABS light will most likely need the ABS control module.  He is just trying to sell you a car.  Please take my advice and stay away from that thing.  You will thank me later.  Good luck.  Roger
