Volvo Repair: 1993 850gl electrical problem, electrical problem, nothing works

Hi,
I just bought a 1993 Volvo 850GL. Every thing works fine. But nothing works in the middle panel. There is no life in the stereo system no lights there,the heat does not work and the AC does not work. Fuses are all good. and all the other lights work fine. Any sugestions what could be wrong?

Jay, The heat and A/C will probably be the control unit.  common on the 93's.  Have the A/C System checked for leaks.  Also a common issue is the evaporator leaking.  As far as the stereo, Remove it and see if all the plugs are connected.  I have seen the radio fuse blow inside the radio.  Roger
