Volvo Repair: 2005 s40 i Volvo, honest opinion, t5

Question
I have heard some really awful things about the 05 s40i not the T5 -

I have been looking to buy one but not if it is going to spend the majority of its life in the repair shop?  What is your honest opinion?

so far i know they dont have problems so long you take care of the car  and were did  you read it can't be thrue  the cars are jsut coming out so dont worry you can by safe s40 2005 or you can buy s60 5cylinder  even better i preffer s60 are much better
s40 are the cheapest one's but they all are good you have to make choise what you like from volvo's models but one thing  you get on all models top safety for you and pasengers  volvo for life.:)
