Volvo Repair: replace bulb in right side marker front bumper, 2000 volvo s40, bottom crawl

Question
James,
That procedure removed the front turn signal but my hand can not fit to reach the back side of the right marker light in the black vinyl strip of the bumper just ahead of the wheelwell.
Thank you,
Bob

James,

Car - 2000 Volvo S40

What is the best way to replace bulb in right side marker light in front bumper?

Thank you

Answer -
Look straight down in between the marker lens and the headlamp lens.  You'll see a single phillips head screw.  Loosen that screw about 2-3 turns.  Do not remove it all the way.  Then the lens will pull straight forward and out.  Then getting the bulb out is easy. Quarter turn and its out.  Install in reverse order.  5 Minute job, almost no tools needed.

Answer
If you can't reach the bulb then the only way to get it is to reach up from the bottom.  Crawl under the car and remove the front splash shield (a few bolts/screws and maybe a tie or 2 you have to cut).  Then you chould be able to see the back of the reflector and be able to reach up to gain access to the socket.  A little more work but still pretty easy.
