Volvo Repair: Fuel Door, door hinge, phillips head

I have a 2001 S80 and the fuel door has come off the hinge. I don't remember what the hinge assembly looked like before it broke. Is there a diagram or picture somewhere (website) that I can look at to see how the fuel door hinge works? If replacement is needed how do I do that? A diagram or picture of this would be helpful also. Thanks for any help you can give.

Well there is no good picture.  But I can tell you how to put in the new one.  Take the new hinge you get from the parts department and break off the 4 little posts with pliers.  Then ream out the holes left behind a little with a phillips head screw driver.  Then insert the posts you just broke off into the holes. (should just barely fit).  Then attach the hinge to the fuel door (clips onto that metal bar on the door).  Then remove the old hinge from the car.  Use a punch and hammer to push those little posts through.  Then pull off the hinge.  Put the new one in its place (hold it on) with the fuel door attached.  Then hammer the pins in until they are flush.  Then just clip the spring onto the hinge and you're done.  Should only take 10 minutes or so.  Any one with the tools can do it.  Good Luck.
