Volvo Repair: 1998 Volvo S70 GLT Air Conditioning, volvo s70 glt, 1998 volvo s70 glt

Question
The A/C in my Volvo is not blowing cold air although I had the system recharged a month or so ago. The folks that did the recharge tell me know that there is indeed a leak in the system and that I need to change both the A/C Evaporator and the A/C Dryer. Do I have another alternative for the time being and if that is the only alternative how many hours do you estimate it will take a certified mechanic to get the job done? I bought the car last August 2005 with 65,000 miles, it now has 72,000 miles. Everything else works well.

Answer
you can't look how many hours it will take   everybody need's to make money and  how fast they do it is better for them not for you but that is how they and  i make  living  and the dealer makes also profit    the repairs in chicago  area go  from $1000-$1400 parts+labot
and yes the evaporator goes bad so  you have to fix it if you like air condition to work.
