Volvo Repair: XC70 running when shut off, climate control, blower motor

Question
We just bought a used 2002 XC70 with 46k miles.  Every time we take the car through some stop and go traffic and park, something under the hood continuously runs even after the car has been shut off.  This lasts for about 2-5 minutes at most.  The performance of the car is otherwise great.  Should I be concerned?

Answer
It is the cooling fan running.  To be sure after you turn the car off and the fan keeps running, stick your hand down inbetween the radiator and the intake and feel if its blowing.  Also the climate control is programmed to run the interior blower motor for about 10-15 minutes after the car has been off for about an hour.  This is to keep the evaporator dry to prevent mold growing in your a/c.  This is also normal.  You have nothing to worry about.
