Volvo Repair: break lights out, relays, fuse

my son has a 2001 s60 all three break lights are out. I checked the fuse they are fine, next I fingered the break relay cube? the lights went on for a moment then off. I thought I would changr the relay and see if that is the problem. What do you think

DC, just for fun, check all the bulbs.  Its possible that they are burnt.  The bad part about these cars is that everything has some sort of module that controls everything and the only way to know the problem is hook it up to the computer. There are also various relays in the rear relay area that control the brake lights.  I would have a Volvo shop check it out for you. Roger
