Volvo Repair: Ignition Key Lock, spare key, gear shift

Hey Buddy, I got a 98 V70.  A few days ago, the ignition simply refuses to let the key in.  I mean, I cannot get it in the ignition slot at all.  Even a second spare key does not work.  I tried to gently force it in, but it will not go in.  I also tried turning the wheel a bit, adjusting the steering column and neither of those practices work.

Any clues?  Please help if you can.

you have maybe bad ignition lock you can try one more thing make sure the override button  by gearshifter in not stuck in lower position  and also make sure the gear shift knob is not stock inside the button on gear shifter  if that is ok you will need new lock .good luck
