Volvo Repair: 1990 740 wont start, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump relay

Question
I have a 1990 740 volvo with the regina fuel system.  I am getting fuel to the fuel inj. rail and there is gas getting to the other side of the rail (gas pours out when I dosconnect the FPR and turn the ignition). If I pour gas directly into the throttle body, the car will start and run for a few seconds. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump relay and checked the fuses in the fuel box but it still will not start.  Am I missing a component that tells the injectors to spray or what do you think my problem is? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hello R.
Lots of new parts...still no go...try looking at the fuel pump relay...see if injectors are getting voltage...use test lamp to prick the leads into the injector...
There is a dozens of other systems that play a part in starting the car...if it dosent get fixed with these suggestions...take it to a Volvo service dept.
                 Good luck,
