Volvo Repair: volvo 98 xcv70 front end flutter, dirt road, drive axle

Question
when turning at low speed--10-15mph--I get a pronounced
flutter. It seems to be getting worse, slowly as a volvo does.
Especially on a left turn. It does not happen on a very sharp turn or
at slower speeds. Trans axle?

I have another question--how hard is it to get into the doors and
replace a lock actuator,or do I really want to know?

Thanks

Answer
Greetings George,
Pronounced flutter sounds like failing C V joints...or drive axle..
If you live on dirt road or hit too many potholes its probabably your problem.

Of course get a 2nd opinion.

Removing door panel to check/replace door lock is for a person with above average repair abilities...and appropiate tools...starting with a 1/4in.drive set and a good philips and a test light.

                 Bye,
