Volvo Repair: 94volvo850turbo oil leak, oil filler cap, oil separator

Question
I have a 1994 volvo 850 turbo that is leaking oil in the area of the turbo. The oil inlet and return lines do not appear to be leaking. There is oil where the line from the oil separator connects to the air inlet. There is also oil on the top of the head near the oil filler cap and the crankcase vent tube. Is it possible that the oil separator is full and over flowing oil into the air inlet? Can the oil separator be emptied or should it be replaced. Thank you for your help.

Answer
Hello Mitch,

Oil leaks near exhaust and turbo area should be repaired quickly...due to the risk of fire.
To find leak area...with engine cold..
stuff loads of newspaper below the leak area..spray brake cleaner solvent onto all areas related to the leaks...use lots of brake cleaner...use the non toxic non-chloride spray brake cleaner....use this stuff because...it cleans super well...leaves no film...evaporates quickly....remove newspapers..which now contains the oily droppings...clever ehh?...wait for 30 minutes before starting enigine...just in case.
If you're looking for an answer relating  to oil seperators...I'm going to send you to your fav Volvo repairman...nearby.

          FIX YOUR OIL LEAK...IMPORTANT!!!!
