Volvo Repair: Heater fan repair, radiator core, volvo 740

Question
I am attempting to remove the heater fan from my 1990 Volvo 740 Turbo . I would like to know what steps I must take in order to remove it from the dash for repair or most likely replacement as it no longer functions. I have been able to remove the face plate but am having difficulty getting to the motor fan. Any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Incidentally my well travelled volvo is used daily and currently has 524,000 kms on it.
The other issue I have is an overheating problem. I have had the thermostat replaced but the car still overheats when I have the a/c on even under highway conditions.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Jeff

Answer
   Jeff..
Putting a heater in any Volvo after 1972 is a job for a advanced Volvo mechanic.
This job is full of disconnections and disassemblies in the higher order of mechanichdom..believe me...if you are a SUPER Duper brain whiz that does complex work...you have my best wishes.
    Buy a book.

     About the overheating problem....

Chances are good that your radiator has lost much of it's ability to cool..
Make sure that air is able to flow into the radiator core after it flows thru the A/C condenser...

Of course many other reasons can cause overheating problem.
