Volvo Repair: Dead Radio - 1996 960, dead radio, vin

I had the battery replaced yesterday, and the radio has not worked since.  Is there something special that needs to be done?  Please help.

Hello Mark,  When the battery was disconnected the radio looses power and nedds to be 're-coded'.Now if you don't have the code your local dealer can help.They will need proof of owenership and the 17 digit VIN.# If the radio was ever replaced,then they may need to remove it ,the #'s they need are on the top sd.,its a snap to remove and safe.Thank you and good hunting.  PKD
