Volvo Repair: cv joints, cv joints, suspisions

Question
Hello, I have a 95 850 turbo and have noticed clicking in the front wheels when I turn sharply left and right. Is this cv joints, axles, boots? Also , how difficult is this for a do it yourselfer?I notice the parts are quite expensive as well.

Answer
Hello Eric, Your suspisions are correct, however the cost is very reasonable now.Your model has been out long enough to have 'exchange programs'parts. What you do is replace the entire axle assy.,the labor is less too,no other parts to swap off! Cost wise your axles are $95/105.oo each,(just parts)To replace just the c/v itself is about 235.00 parts alone. That the benifit, they are from volvo core axle and new ends. The nut that is on the shaft end is 30 mm socket and torque to 88fts and then 60 degrees.
