Volvo Repair: engine stops, fuel pump relay, definate answer

Question
My engine stop after a 3-10 sek
it´s stops like im turning the key
then i can start the car again for a few sek.
it must be some of the electric system
it a 740 from 88
hope you can help me

Hello,

      It is very difficult to give you a definate answer to your question...too many systems within your car to name one cause.

However,I would look at fuses and clean the contact surfaces and use new fuses instead of cleaning old ones...check fuel pump relay...behind the fuses.
