Question
engine starts up easy, idles 750 rpms all day long, press on gas pedal it revs up sounds strong and smooth, but .when i put it in gear, and press gas pedal,it tries to die out,if i let it roll at 750 rpms and pump gas pedal, it runs, but will try to die if i stop

Answer
Hello Roy,  From your discription it sounds like the Air Mass Meter. When you disconnect it,see if shes "more drivable",if so thats the indicates the meter.Next check the throttle position sensor conector,we sometimes find one of the three wires out of its socket. If the engine is t/bo check for inlet hose integrity. This takes two people, engine running, foot ON brake, hand brake ON,shift to drive, rev to 12/15oo rpm, have asst. check for any collapsed hose and listen for any sucking sounds.turn OFF engine and look at the hose going to the t/bo inlet,it may be 'soft'and maybe have a leak.Thank You and good hunting!  PKD
