Volvo Repair: 1990 760 Turbo engine suddenly quits, side fender, minuite

I'll be driving along when suddenly the engine quits running. I'll bring the car to a stop, turn off the ignition and wait a minuite and the car will restart and run. The car may run for another week or a couple of weeks when it will occur again. Or it may occur two or three days in a row. I think the error code was 141.

Your power stage or engine relay is probably starting to fail.  Usually the symptom is intermittent running and sometimes failure to start.  They are both on the driver side fender under the hood.  Depending on the year though, the engine relay could be on the passenger side.  There isn't any good way to test them though.  buying them from the dealer it'll be probably $150.  Couldn't say for sure that it is the problem though without ruling out every other system as the fault.  Hope that helps.
