Volvo Repair: Shock absorbers, nivomat, shock absorbers

Hi,
I am considering changing the shocks on a 940 (non nivomat)
Do you have any idea of the brand ?

Here is what I have been advised :
- BOGE/Sachs (O.E. I think) ?
- Bilstein (B6 or B4) ?

- Others ?
- For nivomat on Wagon is BOGE the only brand ?

I really don't have a recommendation as far as brand.  I just go to the parts counter whenever we're doing shocks at the dealership.  Call the local dealer (parts department) and they could tell you who supplies their shocks.  I wish i could be of more help but its not the kind of thing i deal with.  I'd try to go with OEM type equipment if you want to maintain the stock ride quality.
