Volvo Repair: warning lights, speed sensors, wheel speed

is their an easy way of putting out service lights for my brakes and stc service light.these are both orange and not red i know brake pads are ok and fluid is ok,i just want the lights to go away as thier distracting i dont really want to go to volvo and have my service done locally

The STC light and brake warning lights don't come on for pads or fluids.  Most likely what is going on is that one of your wheel speed sensors has failed and now your ABS and traction control won't work.  Your local shop could fix it but I don't know whether or not they have the electronic tools to diagnose where this problem is.  Call some of the shops around you and ask if they are able to work on your car before you take it too them.  There are lots of Volvo specific independent shops out there too so you may find one of those nearby you.  Hope that helps.
