Volvo Repair: Headlight adjustment, beam headlights, low beams

I have a 2004 Volvo S40 T5. I live in the country where stree lights are non-existent. Is there any way to adjust the low beam headlights to extend the view a little farther? The high beams light up the road very well however, the low beams aren't much better than fog lights. I have taken it to the dealer and they say the lights are within factory specs. That may be so, but I don't think the specs go far enough.

there will be an adjustment.where it is I can not say exactly I would need to see it.it will be a hex shape or phillips .I would park 6-8 feet from a wall and tr turning what appear to be adjusters and watch the light on the wall then adust it to where yoou want to try.usually normal adjustment is about knee high at this distance.you could try to go alittle higher.
